Wikis......the use of them in libraries....l think they would be great for patrons to add their reviews of books they have read in our collection....this can be of use for other patrons and staff when looking for another good book to read.

They can also be used by patrons who are interested on certain topics or hobbies that they are passionate about and wanting to share their knowledge or opinions about these topics. They will need to be monitored though of course...because of the language used as the patrons will be putting the information on themselves.

Ok Im back to complete this exercise....Technorati is block free yeah!!!

I played around with this one abit....the set out was abit confusing for me at first but then got my head around the searching facilities.

The term Learning 2.0. Search results are as follows:

1) Searched in posts/entire post/some authority =6002

2) Searched posts/tags only/some authority =197

3) Searched blogs/entire post/any authority = 1000

Out of all the above the results of the third option was more relavant obviously because they were blogs about learning 2.0

The second search results were mostly by people who were using the learning 2.0 and their experences using learning 2.0, so some of the results were relevant.

So Im going to serach some thing else and add it to this page...let see what should l search.....

I realllllllllllly love this exercise....it has made my life so much easier.....l was waiting for a internet thingy that allows you to have email interfaces and internet sites and doesnt have any restrictions about what you can have on there. so l can just log onto my Del.icio.us account and have all my everyday things there in one place!!!! Thats soooooooo great...

At first l thought this was going to be really easy...but l found it abit more involved...l like how its set up like blogging though so that part was bit easier. I liked the whole concept of having all the sites that you search in one area. But l wasnt keen on how they were listed. I found it abit fiddelly...maybe its just me....

I had a bit of trouble linking my picks to my post...will come back to this part.

I had a play around with library thing..its very easy to use and a great way of displaying my favourite books or books that I am reading.
