I discovered facebook by friends who l originally emailed to. I had acouple of friends "Inviting" me to their page and declined at first...then l thought let's just check it out and see what happens there!
I was overwhelmed with invitations from so many people...especially people from high school who l thought Id never see again! And l also discovered that other staff at Brimbank Library also spend some of their time there!!! So that was a bit of a laugh...
So more on Facebook. Facebook is abit like blogging...but you are leaving comments on each others "wall" so to speak which is the persons page. All the comments are displayed. You have the option of sending a comment to the person directly by leaving a comment on their "wall" or leaving a comment on their page and all those who are their friends can see what has been written.
Only people who are accepted by the invitation can see all the comments displayed.
It is a fun way communicating with others across the world and with friends even if they just live a few suburbs away...There are many other aspects to Facebook. Like joining certain groups or playing games and challenging other friends with games, questioniares etc. but l have not had the time to get into that part of it.
